Earlier this week, Year 12 student Millie competed in the Regional Heat of the Roche Court Educational Trust's ARTiculation Prize, held at the Dulwich Picture Gallery in London 😃 The day began with a wonderful private tour of the gallery. Millie then gave a presentation on 's Early Renaissance fresco 'Expulsion from the Garden of Eden', alongside representatives from six other schools 👏 The competition was adjudicated by Kavita Puri, an award-winning BBC journalist, radio broadcaster and author. Although we didn't go through to the next heat, Kavita praised Millie for her confident and philosophical approach to Masaccio’s work 🥰 Mrs Huntsman, who accompanied Millie on the trip, said that Millie's presentation was "as academic as it was engaging", and that Millie enjoyed high praise from many members of the audience, including two competing schools 🙌 Millie is now eligible to join the ARTiculation Alumni Network, which will afford her many more exciting opportunities in the future. Well done, Millie!

We are delighted to reveal that our concert in aid of Brass for Africa back in October raised a grand total of £2,725.69 for this wonderful, life-changing charity! 👏 This is more than any school has ever raised for the charity with one concert 🥳 We are so happy to support Brass for Africa, particularly during what was such a challenging year for small charities. Of course, we couldn't do it without our talented and hardworking students, the brilliant and unstoppable Mrs Thomas, and our incredibly generous Farlington community. Thank you 🙏 ❤

Last night St Mary's Church in Horsham was filled with beautiful voices and glorious music for our annual Carol Service ❤ A long-standing Farlington tradition, the Carol Service is always hugely popular, and after last year's event had to be cancelled, this year's Carol Service felt more special than ever 🥰 The evening began with a very moving candle-lit procession as students sang Once in Royal David's City. Pupils from Year 5 upwards, as well as the 'Farlingtonic' choir, then performed a selection of carols, and there were some lovely readings from staff members and students. We enjoyed some truly wonderful renditions, including Ave Maria and A Winter's Tale, with students of all ages singing beautifully and playing instruments including flute, guitar and trumpet 👏

Today three of our brilliant Sixth Form students, Alex, Ellie and Millie, delivered a presentation on a work of art, architecture or an artefact of their choice, in Farlington's internal heat for the ARTiculation Prize 👏 An annual public-speaking competition for students aged 16 to 19, the ARTiculation Prize encourages students to communicate confidently and to express their ideas and opinions on art 😀 Watched by a panel of adjudicators - Mr Passam, Mrs Adams and Bellevue Education's Education Director David Williams - our three entrants did an absolutely fantastic job. Each presentation was very well researched, engaging and thought-provoking, but there could only be one student selected to go forward to the next round, and Millie's presentation really caught the attention of the panel 🥳 Well done to all three entrants, and especially to Millie, who will now represent Farlington at the London Regional Heat at Dulwich Picture Gallery in January!

Well done to all the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 for their fantastic acting and singing, and especially for their courage in standing up on stage in front of so many people 👏 We are very proud of you 🥰 Go Team Farlington!

We are absolutely thrilled to see this fantastic feature about Farlington in the December issue of All About Horsham magazine! 👏 🥰 As we celebrate 125 years of Farlington, it's wonderful to look back at the journey the school has been on over the years - from its very early days in Haywards Heath in the 1800s, to the school's move to Strood Park during the Christmas holidays of 1954/1955, our move to co-education in 2018, and the arrival of Farlington's first ever Headmaster this year 😄 If you haven't received a copy of All About Horsham through your letterbox, you can view the whole article here - turn to page 59! https://www.aahorsham.co.uk/content/dec21

What a wonderful celebration we enjoyed at Farlington yesterday ☺️ 🕯 🍊 Students in Years 3 and 4 were joined by their families on the South Lawn as night fell. After the children's Christingle procession, there were carols and festive readings, followed by hot chocolate and mulled wine - what a treat! ☕ 🍷 The Christingle Service is a longstanding Farlington tradition, and we were, as always, very proud of the students' impeccable behaviour and beautiful singing - despite the chilly December night ❤️
