SIXTH FORM SCHOLARSHIPS
We are delighted to be offering an exciting new range of scholarships for entry into the Sixth Form from September 2021.
Our Vive Magna Scholarship is awarded to a truly exceptional student, who shows outstanding academic potential and who also excels in another area. The scholarship carries a 50% discount off school fees.
In addition to this major award, we are offering a range of academic scholarships across different disciplines, enabling students of STEM subjects, Languages, Social Sciences, and Creative and Expressive Arts the opportunity to show commitment, ability, potential and passion for their subject area.
Application deadline for all these scholarships is 14th October 2020.

Vive Magna Scholarship
This is our most prestigious scholarship, and is awarded to a student who shows outstanding academic potential and who also excels in another area.
Candidates should sit three papers from the following subject areas: Biology, Chemistry, English, French, Geography, German, History, Latin, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, RPE, Sociology and Spanish.
Candidates will be required to give a 5 - 10 minute presentation on a topic of their choice.
In addition the candidate must be applying for an Expressive and Creative Art Scholarship or the Open Scholarship.
The Vive Magna Scholarship carries a 50% discount off the Day School Fees, and will only be awarded to an exceptional candidate.
STEM, Languages and Social Sciences Scholarships
These Scholarships will be awarded to students who show outstanding academic potential in their chosen discipline and expect to achieve GCSEs at Grades 8 or 9.
Candidates will be required to sit 2 subject papers and give a 5 - 10 minute presentation on a topic linked to their chosen discipline.
The Scholarships carry up to 20% discount off the Day School Fees.
Creative and Expressive Arts Scholarship
These Scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate commitment, ability and potential in their chosen area.
Candidates will be expected to attend an interview with the Head of Department. There may also be a practical examination/element to the assessment.
These Scholarships carry up to 20% discount off the Day School Fees.
The Open Scholarship
The Open Scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate commitment, ability and potential in their chosen area, which is not already mentioned above.
Candidates will be expected to attend an interview and be able to demonstrate their success in their chosen area.
This Scholarship will carry up to 20% discount off the Day School Fees.
Existing Scholarships will continue into the Sixth Form, subject to review.
Candidates should register to sit the Scholarships by completing and returning the registration form to Mrs Mursell by Wednesday, 14 October 2020.
The relevant Scholarship forms will be sent out to potential candidates and these should be completed and returned to Mrs Mursell by Monday, 2 November 2020.
The Sixth Form Scholarship Assessments will take place on Thursday, 12 November, 2020.
A schedule for the examination day will be emailed to each candidate.
Existing examination access arrangements will be put in place for the examinations.
All candidates will be interviewed by the Headmistress or a Senior member of staff.
The Headmistress will write to each candidate, giving the decision and feedback by Friday, 4 December 2020.
Please note that Scholarships are not always awarded and there is no limit to the number of Scholarships given, with the exception of the Vive Magna Scholarship, where only one award may be made.
