It is a privilege to be the Head of the Lower School, where our aim is to provide your child with an education that will ensure that they can become the very best that they can be. They will take up positions that include leaders, composers, designers, medics and researchers; the list is endless. These and many more careers are the dreams and aspirations of children today.

We know that it is in childhood where the seeds for many of life's passions are planted. With this in mind, we have created an engaging curriculum that is delivered through high quality teaching and learning. We offer our children the opportunity to take supported risks appropriate to the environment and to themselves, enabling each child to enhance their critical thinking, independence and problem-solving skills.

Our pastoral care ensures our children are supported, whilst being stretched and challenged. We take the time to develop positive relationships with each child. This, alongside the excellent facilities, quality teaching and enrichment opportunities, means that our children thrive, as we have the time and space to ignite passions. Our children are happy, well-rounded and equipped for a modern, changing world.

Each year, children join the Farlington Lower School from a wide range of local nurseries, preschools, prep schools and primary schools, as well as from further afield. We run an extensive induction programme to ensure that all pupils joining the Lower School are able to settle in quickly when they join in September, and have met their future classmates.

To find out more about what makes Farlington Lower School such an exciting place to learn, or to arrange a tour of the school, please call Becky Stevens in our Admissions Team, by telephone on 01403 282573 or by email: We look forward to hearing from you!
