Last month some of our Year 8 and 9 students attended training workshops to develop their digital skills and confidence. 💪
These students are our Digital Champions⭐️and the training sessions enable them to support teachers with computing lessons in the Lower School.
The students were taught how to use AI tools safely, use the Sphero Bolts and the Makey Makey app, which can turn a bunch of bananas into a piano! 🍌🎹🤩

This morning we held our Lower and Middle School Poetry Recital finals. 🎉
Our students from Reception to Year 8 gave some incredible performances, with some even reciting poems they had written themselves! 📝The judges certainly had a difficult decision on their hands when awarding the prizes.
Congratulations to all of our talented performers and especially to the category winners and runners-up. ⭐️

The Farlington community was incredibly proud to have our Remembrance Day wreath laid at the Cenotaph in London on Remembrance Sunday.
The wreath, made up of poppies crafted by children in Years 1 and 2, together with Mrs Barkway-Harney, was placed next to the wreaths laid by the Heads of State.
What an honour for our school to be represented in London during this national day of reflection, following our own ceremony here at Farlington, during which the whole school community gathered to observe a two-minute silence last Friday.

This afternoon, eight budding mathematicians from Year 2 were excited to visit Longacre School to take part in the annual Year 2 Inter-School Mathematics Challenge 👏
In teams of four, the pupils were tasked with solving a mixture of fun and practical maths challenges, including #Sudoku puzzles, code breaking, and some especially challenging word problems 💪
Both Farlington teams performed brilliantly, demonstrating excellent teamwork and resilience 👌😎
We were very proud of all of the children who took part today, well done Year 2 mathematicians!
