PREP CURRICULUM

As your child enters Prep in Year 3, they will be taught by experienced staff who will ensure that the pupils are given the individual and intellectual stimulation needed to provide a firm foundation for future development.

Your child will be taught using the framework of the National Curriculum, but teachers also include extra activities from outside the syllabus to further enrich teaching and learning.

Learning takes place in a stimulating environment supported by a variety of experiences including the full use of the whole school estate, educational visits and the expertise and knowledge of the wider community including, but not limited to:

  • Lunchtime and after school clubs
  • Peripatetic lessons, including music, speech and drama, sport and dance
  • Visits
  • Residential trips
  • Themed Curriculum Days and Charity Events

Year 3 English (including Drama), Maths, Science, Computing, Humanities, French,  Spanish, Music, Art, Religious Studies, Life Skills and PE
Year 4  English (including Drama), Mathematics, Science, Computing, History, Geography, French, Spanish, Music, Art, Religious Studies, Life Skills and PE
Year 5 English (including Drama), Mathematics, Science, Computing, History, Geography, French, Spanish, Music, Art, Religious Studies, Life Skills, Home Economics and PE
Year 6 English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, History, Geography, French, Spanish, Latin, Music, Art, Religious Studies, Drama, Life Skills, Home Economics and PE.
