Welcome to Farlington Prep
Put simply, Farlington is a great place to learn! Teachers are there to help your child become a confident, independent, highly-motivated and happy learner.
Prep School life focuses on individuals, whether that is academically, pastorally or in the wide range of co-curricular activities on offer. Each pupil is taught in a way that builds on the firm foundations that have been laid in the Early Years and Pre-Prep, within calm, purposeful and supportive classrooms. Any gaps in prior learning are swiftly identified through our tracking and monitoring systems, with learning support offered where needed.
Excellent teaching staff share their passions for the subjects they teach, with expectations and the motivation to learn set high. Levels of challenge ensure that every pupil is stimulated and supported to be the best that they can be.
Pupils ‘Discover’ their strengths, ‘Achieve’ across all curriculum areas and are encouraged to ‘Believe’ in themselves. No subjects are off-limits and a positive, ‘can do’ attitude pervades.
Excellent pastoral care supports pupils as they negotiate friendships, serve their community, deal with growing up and discover the wider world.
Pupils are thoroughly prepared for Senior School life so that the transition to their next stage of education is seamless.
Please do come for a visit; I would be delighted to show you around. To arrange this, contact our Head of Admissions Louise Mursell, on 01403 282573 or email firstname.lastname@example.org

Classes are calm, purposeful and supportive where individual successes are keenly celebrated. We encourage each child to achieve their personal best and discover their strengths in different aspects of school life, especially those that are more challenging.
Pupils and teachers approach life positively, finding interest and enjoyment within lessons; learning in the outdoors is highly valued. We encourage initiative and healthy competition enabling pupils to resolve disputes for themselves, perform with confidence and help one another.
Our Forest School programme provides children with a love of the great outdoors and helps develop self-esteem, confidence and a sense of responsibility. Making excellent use of our magnificent woodland location, we work with various real tools and natural resources to bring learning to life, creating a greater understanding of the balance of nature and the finite resources around us.
Forest School is currently available to all children in Nursery, Reception, Prep 1 and 2, with plans to extend this to the older Prep years, incorporating leadership and teamwork days.Read our Forest School article
