Igniting Bright Futures
Growing in Confidence
Explore and Develop

Welcome to Prep

The very warmest of welcomes to the Prep School where your daughter can embark on her Farlington journey. Vital foundation years set the scene for developing curiosity, rising to academic challenge and discovering your daughter’s strengths and passions.

Our highly motivated and talented teaching staff has high expectations of each individual. We know that girls learn best when they are self-assured, happy and heard. The nurturing environment and rich, varied curriculum, events and activities prepare girls to meet the ongoing demands as they move on to Senior School life. Girls grow continually in confidence and independence with great respect for one another and the world around them.

Please do come to visit us. I would be delighted to show you around. To arrange a visit, please call Louise Mursell on 01403 282573 or email admissions@farlingtonschool.com

Prep Life

Classes are calm, purposeful and supportive where individual successes are keenly celebrated. We encourage each child to achieve her personal best and discover her strengths in different aspects of school life, especially those that are more challenging.

Pupils and teachers approach school life positively, finding interest and enjoyment within lessons; learning in the outdoors is highly valued. We encourage initiative and healthy competition enabling girls to resolve disputes for themselves, perform with confidence and help one another.

Forest School

Our Forest School programme provides children with a love of the great outdoors and helps develop self-esteem, confidence and a sense of responsibility. Making excellent use of our magnificent woodland location, we work with various real tools and natural resources to bring learning to life, creating a greater understanding of the balance of nature and the finite resources around us.

Forest School is currently available to all children in Nursery, Reception, Prep 1 and 2, with plans to extend this to the older Prep years, incorporating leadership and teamwork days.
